The safari zone was still open despite the urgency of the coming conflict. Robin had no idea when she'd next have an opportunity to visit, but she feared this might be the last one for a while. "We gotta make the most of it," she told FM. The safari sprawled around them like a welcome mat. She walked slowly, savoring. It wouldn't do her any good to rush and miss anything.

A Gligar launched quick attack at FM, but it went right through her. The ghost whipped around and launched moon blast at the Gligar to throw it into the ground. Robin watched as it used crabhammer on FM. "Come on, knock it around!" FM took the encouragement and used phantom force to throw the Gligar off its rhythm and assault it from an unusual angle. The Gligar cried out at the attack. Robin took the opportunity to toss a pokeball.

"Good work," she praised FM. "You're getting faster at reacting." The ghost was also very evasive. It gave Robin a lot of confidence that FM could handle tough pokemon battles. She wasn't sure what else to expect from the ghost, but the way she was progressing left her expecting some new developments, too. FM was a smoking gun on her team.

A smokescreen interrupted their conversation. "What is it?" Robin asked as she put herself closer to Flutter Mane, her back to the ghost's. Flutter Mane detected the intrusion before she did. FM launched psyshock at it. Robin couldn't see anything, but she could hear the Horsea's cry as it presumably launched off into the distance from the strike. Robin covered her mouth with her sleeve and walked in a blind direction to escape the smoke.

Robin almost stomped on the shiny rock on the ground. She simply hadn't been paying attention.

She paused to scoop it up and held it up to the light. It glowed a little and had little spirals on it. She thought it was a cool rock to bring to Gwen as a gift... until it turned around in her hands and had a face. "Oh my goodness, you're just like Minior. Wait. You are a Minior." Hers didn't look like this. And she'd hatched it! She knew her Minior inside and out. "Well, now I gotta show you to my second daughter," she cooed at the rock.

An earthquake brought Robin to her knees. FM was unaffected as someone levitating, but she took to investigating the area immediately. Robin focused on not throwing up from the shaking.

FM disappeared into some bushes, and in a few moments, the shaking stopped. FM returned with a passed-out Trapinch in her mouth, dropping the green pokemon in front of her. "What... What did you do to this guy?" The question was unnecessary, however. There were some scorch marks on him. She couldn't imagine how many flame she'd summoned in a short period to knock out this little rock guy with it, but she had no complaints.

The exit to the Safari was ahead. "Well, it's been real and it's been fun." She nudged Flutter Mane with her shoulder. FM made a pleased noise. "We gotta do this again, yeah?" FM bobbed her head in agreement. Robin usually came with Snorlax or Sinistea, but she was making an effort to bring her other pokemon out for little outtings so they weren't only familiar with battles and the Border.

As the two of them walked off, they were unaware of the Popplio following close behind. The warden though it was intentional as she waved them through the exit path and said nothing of it.
